Rangers now weighing up offer to sign “really good athlete”
According to a recent transfer update, Rangers are reportedly considering an offer to sign a player who
has been praised as a “really good athlete” at Ibrox.
News about Rangers transfers
During the January transfer window, Philippe Clement is probably going to be looking at new players
since he believes that a few signings could prove to be crucial in the Scottish Premiership title fight.
Particularly if Ridvan Yilmaz manages to secure a move away from Ibrox before the end of the month, as
has been heavily suggested in recent weeks, and other players have been brought into the mix, left-back
has emerged as an area to improve.
Josh Doig, a 21-year-old who arrived from Hibernian after once being an outstanding young player in
the Scottish league, had become a main goal in that regard. He is currently making an impression at
Hellas Verona in Italy. Owen Beck, a defender for Liverpool, has also been linked to a loan move to
Rangers. Earlier in the season, Beck returned to An field following a brief spell at Dundee.
Ben Johnson, a defender for West Ham, is apparently up for grabs, with a January departure for the 23-
year-old perhaps in the works. Rangers are supposedly in a three-way race to sign Johnson. Midway
through the season, Lawrence Shankland, the standout scorer for Hearts, has also been mentioned as a
potential target for the Gers.
Rangers want Cameron Pring
Focus does appear to be on the left-back situation, though, and according t
o reliable journalist Alan Nixon on Patreon via Ibrox News, Rangers are weighing up making a move
for Bristol City left-back Cameron Pring, as Clement continues to look for a player in that position.
