Leeds United considers replacing Illan Meslier after losing faith in him.

According to David Norris, Leeds United will soon begin searching for long-term replacements for Illan Meslier.

Brad Potts gave Preston North End the lead in Saturday’s [December 14] 1-1 draw at Deepdale, and Meslier was partially to blame.

In an exclusive interview with MOT Leeds News, Norris acknowledged that following recent discussions, many Leeds supporters have lost faith in the Frenchman.

“I believe Meslier has started to look good in recent games, but the Leeds supporters I’ve talked to aren’t convinced anymore,” he stated.

Farke is probably thinking about alternative choices right now. He has lost the team points this season due to his excessive inconsistency. They simply don’t seem to have the same faith in Meslier as they formerly did.

The other goalkeepers in Farke’s starting lineup are Karl Darlow and Alex Cairns, both of whom were once at Newcastle and have a wealth of Championship experience.Meslier has been a first-choice player for Leeds since joining the team in 2019 and has played in close to 200 games.

With promotion to the Premier League at the top of their wish list, the Whites enter a pivotal Christmas season sitting three points behind Sheffield United in the Championship.

In other Leeds news, a striker who is anticipated to move in has already been replaced.
