Despite the Tigers’ league standing, Frank Lampard feels Coventry City cannot afford to take Hull City lightly when they play on Saturday lunchtime at the CBS Arena.
City is at the bottom of the standings after 20 Championship season games, having only won three times, none of which have occurred in the previous 12 games.
The Tigers ended a string of six straight losses with a 1-1 draw against Watford in the middle of the week. Ruben Selles came incredibly close to winning his first game as manager and is now hoping for his first win in over 70 days.
Similar to City, Coventry is going through a transitional phase following a recent manager change. In his first three games since replacing Mark Robins, Lampard has had a mixed start, winning one, drawing one, and losing the other—on Wednesday night at West Brom by a score of two goals to zero—leaving the Sky Blues in 16th position in the league, five points ahead of the bottom-place City.
