The 19-year-old is not the only high-profile target for the West Midlands club, according to CaughtOffside [8 December], who have revealed that Unai Emery’s team is interested in him.
Yıldız is also being pursued by teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal, who have been rumored to be interested in acquiring one Villa star. The Serie A powerhouses are unwilling to sell, though, and the attacker is content at Juventus.
Despite this, Yıldız has a price tag and may fetch £66 million, but former Villa scout Bryan King, who spoke exclusively to Villa News, doesn’t believe this is a reasonable price.
King said, “Just forget it, forget it.”
“Perhaps if we’re discussing £25 million, with the possibility that the cost could go to £60 million. But I wouldn’t pay £66 million up front for a 19-year-old who plays for Juventus—which, incidentally, isn’t the best team in Italy”. He is interesting to watch and discuss, but £66 million? The game is crazy. The incentives are no longer there. It’s absurd that Premier League clubs are paying players such large sums. I wouldn’t even consider this offer. Although this player is doing okay, he hasn’t been proven.
