Saints could potentially see a lot more of Bill Belichick
Bill Belichick is done with the New England Patriots, and the New Orleans Saints could be seeing more of him. The GOATed coach is linked to a Saints rival.
There are now head coaching openings for the New Orleans Saints in two of its division opponents. The teams are the Carolina Panthers and the
Atlanta Falcons. To the surprise of everyone in the NFL, the New England Patriots also have an opening. Although it was inevitable that Bill Belichick
and the New England Patriots would part ways for some time, it is still astonishing that it did. Naturally, everyone’s focus is shifting to Belichick’s next
destination, and if rumours are to be believed, Saints supporters may become extremely familiar with him very soon.
Suffice to say, Belichick to the Falcons would not be ideal for the Saints. Their defence isn’t exactly lacking in talent, but a defensive mastermind like
Belichick might elevate it to a new level. In terms of skill, they have guys on the offensive line, which is different from New England and might be dangerous.
Which leads us to the quarterback that the Saints and Belichick might face off against.
The Falcons might select one, but if past performance is any guide, they might not want to start Belichick next to a developing quarterback, a situation
that also applies to the Panthers. Having said that, what would happen if they managed to sign Justin Fields or Russell Wilson? Well, that might cause some problems.
Ultimately, all of this is just conjecture. Though at times it seems as though we already know what the Saints are doing with their personnel, we don’t
actually know anything. That being said, just in case, the New Orleans Saints and their supporters should begin acclimating themselves to the idea of playing Bill Belichick twice a year for years to come.
