Rangers’ defender Ridvan Yilmaz transfer update emerges with 20% contract revelation.

Because of their connections to Galatasaray, Rangers will be required to give Besiktas twenty percent of any net profits pertaining to Ridvan Yilmaz, according to Ajansspor.

On January 10, a Turkish media site stated that this was covered by his contract when he relocated to Ibrox in 2022.Yilmaz has had difficulty securing a berth and being a fixture in the first team at Ibrox since his £5 million signing.

Rangers are in a difficult situation because Galatasaray is showing interest in left-back Yilmaz. The £5 million deal for the Turkey international in 2022 has not been easy to come by. However, the 20% sell-on clause to Besiktas complicates prospective revenues, so Gers may face difficulties if he decides to return to Turkey, either permanently or on loan.

Additionally, with Borna Barisic nearing the end of his contract, acquiring a replacement like Josh Doig becomes crucial. However, their quest to sign Doig also does not appear to be straightforward, and this is certainly not how Philippe Clement would’ve wanted his first window in charge to go.

There are holes in many parts of the club that need to be filled if they are to compete with Celtic for the championship. It remains to be seen where Yilmaz ends up and how much money they even earn from any sale to put back into the squad.
