NFL: Moves that Can Help New Orleans Saints Team

REPORT: Moves that Can Help Every NFL Team: New Orleans Saints.

After implementing these changes, the Saints, who missed out on the playoffs in 2023, may qualify in 2024.

The New Orleans Saints narrowly missed out on making the postseason. While the division did not do well as a whole, in week 18, three teams each

had a chance to qualify for the division. Despite outscoring the Falcons by thirty points, the Saints were still unable to win the NFC South.

After defeating the Panthers, the Bucs were declared the winners of the division.

The offense had some players that did not perform to their expectations. The first on that list is Jamaal Williams.

The running back was coming off of a season where he led the league in rushing touchdowns and signed a deal in

New Orleans for just $6 mil per year. He finished with only 300 yards and one touchdown.

This was a significant difference from the season before where he had 17 touchdowns.

Saints’ Roster Moves Heading into Next Season

The offence, not the defence, was what slowed down New Orleans in 2023; therefore, all eyes will be on signal caller Derek Carr.

The former Raider may not be playing as well as the Saints had hoped, but he still has time to improve.

If the Saints give him another chance in 24 and he continues to struggle, they should consider drafting a quarterback.

In the 2024 draft, the Saints have the 14th pick. The starting tackle, Andrus Peat was in his contract year in 2023 and likely will find a new home.

This is the perfect opportunity to draft someone to replace Peat and help protect Carr. A great target here is Alabama’s JC Latham.

The tackle stands at 6’6 and weighs over 350 pounds. He is the 3rd best tackle in the draft but it is likely that Joe Alt and Olu Fashanu will go in the

top ten. Latham is a great option, coming from a school that always has top offensive line talent get drafted in the first round.

Saints Prediction for 2024 Season

Carr appeared to get more at ease with the offence toward the end of the year. With a stronger offensive line, the Saints might challenge for the

division championship. This season, Carr faced constant pressure, which frequently resulted in a poor pass or an unforced action.

Despite his advanced age, Alvin Kamara is not slowing down. The offence will be unstoppable in 2024 if he has a season like that and Saheed and

star receiver Chris Olave appear. The Saints looked better than average at numerous moments in 2023, which suggests they are only one or two players away from taking home the NFC South title.
