Ipswich issue statement after ex-player Simon Milton ‘fell unwell’ during Bournemouth loss.

Ipswich have released a statement saying that their club ambassador is “stable and communicating” after falling ill.

Simon Milton, the Ipswich club ambassador, is “stable and communicating” after being rushed to hospital following Sunday’s Premier League match against Bournemouth.

Following the encounter at Portman Road, the club announced that “a medical emergency” occurred in the directors’ box during the Tractor Boys’ 2-1 defeat.

The club confirmed on Sunday evening that former player and Club Ambassador Simon Milton was rushed to hospital after falling ill during Sunday’s Premier League match against AFC Bournemouth.

“Simon is now stable and can communicate. He is in a good mood and will go home to rest.

“He’d like to thank the first responders on Portman Road, as well as everyone who has sent their well wishes. At this time, we ask that everyone respect Simon and his family’s privacy.

Milton played midfield for Ipswich from 1987 to 1998.
