Sheffield United confirmed team news v West Brom as surprise name appears on Blades teamsheet
For their match against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns this afternoon, Sheffield United has made one forced change to its roster. In order to play Carlos Corberan’s team, manager Chris Wilder had to assemble a makeshift center-half tandem because both Harry Souttar and Anel Ahmedhodzic were suspended for the match.
Femi Seriki, who has recently impressed with his lively displays, replaces Souttar at right back following his red card in last Friday’s victory against Sunderland, while Chelsea loanee Alfie Gilchrist moves to center-half to partner captain Jack Robinson.
Rhian Brewster is back in a United matchday squad for the first time in just over a month after picking up a contact injury away at Blackburn Rovers, taking his place on the bench, but there is no place for Kieffer Moore as he continues his comeback from a calf injury. He should be available for Wednesday night’s trip to Millwall.
Jamal Baptiste, a former Manchester City and West Ham defender who joined the Blades earlier this season following a fruitful trial stint with the U21s, is a fresh name on the Unitedites bench.
After suffering a contact injury away at Blackburn Rovers, Rhian Brewster is making his first appearance in a United matchday squad in just over a month, starting on the bench. Kieffer Moore, who is still recovering from a calf injury, is not included in the squad. He ought to be able to go to Millwall on Wednesday night.
