Rangers hero Kris Boyd delivers cheeky ‘Primark’ dig to Chris Sutton

Rangers hero Kris Boyd delivers cheeky ‘Primark’ dig to Chris Sutton.

At the halfway point, Kris Boyd took a playful jab at Chris Sutton’s wardrobe as they discussed their preseason forecasts.

Since there won’t be any top-tier activity scheduled for the next few weeks due to the Scottish Premiership’s winter break, Sky Sports has chosen to reflect on the season thus far.

Naturally, pundits Boyd and Sutton disagreed on who would win the Rangers against Celtic championship match, but they also disagreed on who would be involved in and around the relegation fight.

Ibrox hero Boyd predicted St Johnstone for the drop at the start of the season, while Sutton opted for high-flying Dundee.

The pair are now both in agreement that Livingston look destined to go down and Boyd could not resist a cheeky swipe as his TV pal as he discussed David Martindale’s side.

He said: “I think for me looking at it now Livingston are cut adrift. Not that we have heard much from David Martindale saying that he needs some strikers, he needs some players in.”

Sutton then chipped in: “Shopping at Primark I think he said?”

Boyd then hilariously responded: “Well at least you and him have something in common!”

At that moment, Sutton and Boyd were clearly in stitches, and the legendary Celtic man even said, “That’s good from you.” Keep your laughter to yourself and don’t laugh at his jokes.

Sutton continued, “I think basically both of us think they have had it,” in reference to Livingston.

They have consistently surpassed where we believe they should be, thus it appears like this season is going too far.

“They have overachieved for a number of years and it is catching up on them.”
