Swans fans have reacted positively to the news of the departure of two players who have mostly hindered the

Swans’ progress since their relegation from the Premier League. Andrew Coleman, who we revealed a month ago

as part of discussions to revamp the club, has now received his wish.

He needs to be thoroughly congratulated for that.

Along with Nigel Morris, Brett Cravatt, and newcomer Jason Cohen (below), there will be adjustments, with initial

disclosures revealing a twenty million pound inflow. Swans investor Jake Silverstein, who has been quiet for

almost 18 months, is thought to have been involved in the entire push to relocate Kaplan and Levien. He is yet to

reveal his future with the club. That will become evident to us very shortly. Until then, trust nothing. However, he

has non-football business connections with all of those identified this morning.

then, we explained who the characters were. Prior to then, our research revealed that a discussion to remove

Kaplan and Levien had been happening for some months. It also provides a quick overview of Jason Cohen.

We don’t pretend to know all of the details that led to this ‘takeover’, for lack of a better term, but hard work by our

two major journalists resulted in this article becoming news. Today, almost everything has come to fruition.

However, there is a word of caution here. Despite the increased investment, it is simply the beginning of a new age.

Initially, there will be some known faces as well as one or two new ones. We recently learnt that this is not the case,

since more investors will join in the following weeks and months. This isn’t just a takeover by those identified;

there will be more on this.

Talk will now revert to new contracts for Harry Darling and Ben Cabango; we now know that their agents will

return to the table late next week or the following week. However, two sources tell us that all that is required to

persuade the couple to join is an increase in the minimum pay on offer. The remainder of the contract is pretty

well complete. If that happens in the short term, it demonstrates how critical it was to remove Kaplan and Levien,

who had always made the final decision on all subjects.
