Wolves have yet to win a Premier League game, and they are now at the bottom of the standings.
With just three points from their first ten games, Wanderers have had an extremely difficult start to the 2024–25 season.
Gary O’Neil, who was backed after the terrible 5-3 loss to Brentford, is under increasing pressure at Molineux.
Fosun fervently hopes that O’Neil will improve matters at Wolves, but they may soon find themselves in a situation where they must make a change.
Despite the fact that many fans have suddenly turned against O’Neil, some members of the media seem less worried.
Given the caliber of players at Molineux, Gary Lineker believes Wolves will remain in the league.Additionally, Wolves have occasionally played some “lovely football,” according to Darren Bent, who believes the team is in a somewhat deceptive situation.
Micah Richards has now spoken his opinion about Wolves following their Premier League winless start.
Micah Richards explains why he’d choose to coach Wolves, makes survival suggestion
This season, Wolves was given a very difficult schedule, and it was always expected that the team would finish closer to the bottom of the table than the top or center.
However, some supporters did hope for more than three points from ten games.
On the most recent Rest Is Football podcast, someone asked Gary Lineker, Micah Richards, and Alan Shearer which of the current relegation-zone teams they would most like to coach when Wolves came up.
“I would go Wolves,” Richards stated. They have the better players, in my opinion. Right now, they’re just having trouble gaining confidence. Even so, they equalized late in the previous game.
“I believe that with Strand Larsen in the lead, Cunha, Gomes, and Ait-Nouri.
Richards said, “I just think they’ve got the best players,” in response to Shearer’s question on whether he thought Wolves had the best chance of staying up among the current three teams.
“I’m not sure if they have the best opportunity. It may be really challenging if the confidence wanes, even if you have the top players.
Although things haven’t gone as he would have liked over the last several weeks, I just believe they’ve been in the Premier League for a while and have a manager who has shown himself to be very good strategically.
“I would support Wolves if I were betting on players.”
Good players need a good manager
Despite having a great roster, Wolves is now four points from safety and at the bottom of the Premier League standings.
It goes without saying that Wolves had a very difficult start to their schedule. However, if these gifted players had been following instructions from someone else, Wolves might have more points.
