‘Incredible’ Wolves starlet drops subtle hint that he will make his Premier League debut vs Everton

Wolves’ showdown vs Everton could be vital for the Old Gold’s season. After the results on Tuesday night, Gary O’Neil’s side are now two points from safety with Everton sitting in 17th.

A defeat would see the club cut adrift with pressure mounting on the Wolves manager.

However, with things not working on the pitch, it seems that O’Neil may call upon a youngster to help dig the club out of this mess after a hint was dropped on social media.

Pedro Lima drops hint that he could be in the Wolves vs Everton squad

Pedro Lima of Wolverhampton Wanderers celebrates after teammate Goncalo Guedes (not pictured) scored their team's first goal during the Carabao Cup...

Pedro Lima has barely had a chance to shine at Wolves since his move to England in the summer.

The right-back is seen as one of the best upcoming talents from South America. This resulted in Wolves beating Chelsea to the signing of Lima who is meant to be the heir to Nelson Semedo.

However, with the exception of two Carabao Cup appearances at the start of the campaign, the Old Gold faithful have rarely seen the 18-year-old.

Lima had picked up an injury in recent weeks but has now seemingly recovered after he dropped a hint that he could be in the matchday squad for Everton.

The Brazilian posted a story on his Instagram account with a matchday graphic on it. This indicates that the right-back could be in the squad for the game where he could make his Premier League debut.

Pedro Lima needs more game time at Wolves

Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come for Lima. The full-back simply needs to play more given the talent he has.

After the cup game against Burnley, O’Neil said that it was ‘incredible’ how talented Lima was for his age. Now, the manager needs to repay that talent with more appearances.

This could also grow in importance over the coming months given that Semedo is likely to leave Wolves in the summer.

As a result, only Matt Doherty and Lima are naturals in this position, with the former now past his peak.

If the club want the Brazilian to take over from Semedo when he departs, they must ensure that he is ready for this level.
