Mings starts, Duran decision – Aston Villa starting XI vs Club Brugge predicted.

On Wednesday, Aston Villa will play Club Brugge in Belgium in an attempt to maintain their perfect record in the Champions League league phase.

Unai Emery’s team travels to Belgium to play Club Brugge on Wednesday night (5:45 p.m. kickoff) in an attempt to win the Champions League for the fourth time in a row.

Villa is leading the league phase standings after defeating BSC Young Boys, Bayern Munich, and Bologna; only Liverpool has won their opening three games. Villa enters the game coming off back-to-back losses to Tottenham in the capital on Sunday and Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup.

Spurs overcame Villa in the second half to win 4-1 after falling down by one goal. Wednesday’s game against Brugge gives Villa the opportunity to get back to winning ways before the November international break, when they take on the formidable task of meeting early Premier League leaders Liverpool on Saturday night.

On Tuesday night, Emery will address the media and provide an update on team news; however, Matty Cash is anticipated to be sidelined due to a calf injury sustained during the loss to Spurs. Due to injury, Ross Barkley has missed the last two games and will be out till after the international break.

There may be some defensive changes, but Emi Martinez will remain in goal. Due to Cash’s injury, Ezri Konsa will probably go to right-back, while Ian Maatsen may be selected in place of Digne on the other side.

Tyrone Mings was outstanding when he returned to duty against Palace last week, especially considering the severity of his injury. For instance, Emery would be tempted to start him against Brugge instead of Anfield because Villa has gotten off to a flawless start in the Champions League.

Paul Torres is an important part of Villa’s structure, and the game against Brugge might be a chance to see if Emery can see if the two left-footed center-backs can work well together.

Boubacar Kamara, who recovered from an ACL injury, has also displayed encouraging signs. He might not be able to play two games in a short period of time just yet, so a start versus Liverpool might be more plausible. Thus, Youri Tielemans and Amadou Onana, both Belgian internationals, may stay in the double pivot.

Leon Bailey has had a rough start to the season, but if he can score his first goal at Brugge, he will feel more confident. Then, when Maatsen bursts down the flank, John McGinn may play from the left to maintain some balance. During the second part of the match against Tottenham, Jacob Ramsey seemed to cramp.

Despite Morgan Rogers’ desire to play on against Spurs, Emery decided to bench him. He ought to be able to begin. Jhon Duran, who scored against Bologna and Bayern and had a goal disallowed against Young Boys, could be the line leader.

Aston Villa predicted XI : Martinez, Konsa, Mings, Torres, Maatsen, Onana, Tielemans, Bailey, McGinn, Rogers, Duran.
