Bundesliga Star Likely To Be Too Expensive For Aston Villa This Month

Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong is likely to be prohibitively expensive for Aston Villa this month, according to The Athletic.

Aston Villa are in the market for a right-back as Unai Emery wants more depth in his full-back options going forward.

Frimpong is one of the players the Villans have been tracking and he has been regularly linked with a move away from Leverkusen.

The 23-year-old is rated highly for his attacking ability and has five goals and seven assists in the Bundesliga this season.

But a move for Frimpong this month is highly unlikely for Aston Villa due to the potential costs of the deal.

There have been rumors that the defender will cost Villa too much during the current transfer window.

Their budget for the upcoming summer transfer window would be reduced if they made a play for him this month.

Frimpong is under contract with Leverkusen until 2028, and the German team is not currently under any significant pressure to trade him.
