Sky Sports Nils Koppen to work overtime as Rangers suffer huge transfer blow.

Nils Koppen will now have to work extra as Rangers look to sign a defender this summer. The Daily Record stated on December 2 that the plan to sign Neraysho Kasanwirjo permanently in the summer is in “major” doubt due to his latest injury setback. He is expected to miss up to six months of action after returning to Feyenoord, his parent club.

Neraysho Kasanwirjo had hit the ground running at Ibrox

Philippe Clement employed the 22-year-old as a Swiss Army knife, deploying him as both a full-back and a centre-back. He even suggested a better option than James Tavernier at right-back and Robin Propper at centre-back. Given the 22-year-old’s injury, Koppen must immediately step up his scouting and recruitment efforts to obtain a dependable, long-term centre-back for the Ibrox club.
