RIP Graham Moore

Sheffield United Football Club is heartbroken to announce the death of Senior Vice-President Graham Moore MBE.

Graham, 81, was a well-known member of the Sheffield business community who served Westfield Health with distinction for over 35 years. He received an MBE in the 2022 New Year’s Honours list for his charitable contributions.

He was also a loyal Sheffield United supporter who served as Vice-President at Bramall Lane for many years, representing the club in events and boardrooms around the country.

Chairman Yusuf Giansiracusa stated: “I got this news with tremendous regret, balanced only by my good fortune in spending the final week with Graham. Graham’s life was well lived. He was an unwavering gentleman, bringing grace and respect to the boardroom. Since my early days at the club, I have relied on Graham for advice, counsel, and wisdom, and I, like many others, will be eternally thankful for the time he spent with us.”

Stephen Bettis, Chief Executive Officer, said: “Graham was a popular member of the Blades family and will be sorely missed. He represented the club well inside the city and beyond, and his sharp wit will be missed in the boardroom.”

Tony Currie, club ambassador, added: “I’ve known Graham for many years, and we had a great deal of mutual respect. It was a pleasure being in his company. He was a brilliant individual who continually promoted Sheffield United wherever possible.”

Sheffield United extend their heartfelt sympathies to Graham’s family and friends.
