Illan Meslier disagrees with Bristol City player as Leeds United star posts on Instagram after draw on Saturday

Although Leeds United’s attempt to win three straight games on Saturday afternoon was unsuccessful, there were some encouraging aspects of their 0-0 draw with Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

Leeds were frustrated as Dan James squandered a fantastic first-half opportunity after Wilfried Gnonto played him in with a beautiful pass. Max O’Leary saved the Welshman’s shot.

But, Leeds would rather have done so with a third consecutive win rather than a draw. It did also see the Whites and Illan Meslier keep a seventh clean sheet in their 12th Championship game, an impressive run.

After the game, O’Leary told Bristol City’s website that he thought a point was a just outcome and that The Robins earned it.
It was a difficult game, so it’s certainly acceptable to leave with a point, he said. Without the ball, we were very at ease. We want to make Ashton Gate a very challenging location to visit, so that’s something to work on.

However, Meslier shared a photo on Instagram after having a very calm afternoon, particularly in the second half down south. In their 12th game, he believes Leeds deserved more than a point.
