EXCLUSIVE: Blackburn Rovers predicted team with four changes at Watford.
The Blackburn Rovers defender hobbled out against West Brom on Wednesday night. The whole degree of the problem is unknown, but it is quite doubtful that he will be involved at Vicarage Road.
Danny Batth will return to the starting lineup after appearing as a substitute against the Baggies. Kyle McFadzean is set to recover from a hand injury and take his spot on the bench.
Harry Pickering is another player that might be moved to the side. Owen Beck has started the previous two games, but with more games approaching, the Liverpool loanee may be replaced by a more experienced alternative.
Similarly, Ryan Hedges hasn’t started three matches in a row in a long time. He was given the start against West Brom, but Andi Weimann, who came in at the hour mark on Wednesday, might replace him at Vicarage Road.
The question is if Todd Cantwell can go again following his first two starts. Arnor Sigurdsson might make his first Championship start this season.
Lewis Baker is another option who might play off the left or in the ten position if Tyrhys Dolan moves wide. Lewis Travis and Sondre Tronstad are likely to be asked to play again in the center of midfield.
Up forward, it’s a toss-up between Yuki Ohashi and Makhtar Gueye, but I believe the Japanese forward will take the lead once more.
Predicted Rovers lineup: Pears, Rankin-Costello, Batth, Hyam, Pickering; Travis, Tronstad; Weimann, Dolan, Baker, Ohashi.
