BBC NEWS; Rangers ‘Not Really Blown Teams Away’ – Ex-Top Flight Star Sees Performance Issue Too.

Former top-flight player Marvin Bartley believes Rangers supporters’ unhappiness stems not just from their poor results, but also from the fact that the Gers have not performed effectively.

The Gers have faced criticism for their rocky start to the season, and a setback to Kilmarnock last weekend hasn’t helped matters.

Philippe Clement’s position at Ibrox is under intense examination, with the Gers lying six points behind Celtic and Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.

Bartley emphasized that the Gers’ stars, like their boss, face critical decisions in the coming weeks.

And the former top-flight player believes the Gers have not been able to dominate any teams this season, which has contributed to Rangers supporters’ discontent.

“I think the Rangers fans are very, very frustrated,” Bartley stated on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard.

“It is not only results-driven, but also performance-driven.”

“When they’ve won games, they haven’t blasted opponents away like their supporters anticipate, and properly so.

“So, the players have now got a massive couple of weeks as well as the manager, because they really need to click into gear.”

Rangers will attempt to weather the storm for the rest of the month, beginning tonight with a Europa League match against FCSB.
