Ipswich has drew four of those eight games and is still clear of the relegation zone, but goals from Iliman Ndiaye and Michael Keane were enough for the Toffees to inflict McKenna’s team their second home Premier League defeat.

The 28-year-old only played 71 minutes on the weekend and has only played 90 minutes once for his new team. It appears that people behind the scenes are not too thrilled with the £150,000-a-week star.

Phillips is the highest-paid player at Ipswich in 2024/25. However, according to WhoScored, he is the club’s 12th-best performance in the Premier League with an average match rating of 6.36/10.
Those at Portman Road aren’t happy with what they’re seeing right now, and it will be intriguing to see if Phillips remains in McKenna’s starting XI in the coming months.
