Sky: Aston Villa striker offered to Milan

According to Sky Sport Italia Milan has made a bid for Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran, but the Rossoneri can only select one of him or Matija Popovic.

With Matteo Gabbia’s return from Villarreal, Milan is anticipated to add three players at least in the January transfer window. This will be the first reinforcement for the Rossoneri this month.

But Milan is also searching for offensive reinforcement, and the Rossoneri have reportedly made an approach to Aston Villa striker Duran, according to Manuele Baiocchini of Sky Sport Italia.

Milan is reportedly interested in the Colombian striker, who is 20 years old. However, since there is only one spot available for non-EU players, the Rossoneri have to select between Popovic, a 17-year-old striker from Partizan Belgrade U19, and the Colombian.

A move to Milan has also been linked to players like Serhou Guirassy and Jonathan David, but it’s unclear if they’ll still be within the Rossoneri’s budget after the Italian government revoked the Growth Decree.

This season, Duran, 20, has made 21 appearances in all competitions and netted four goals.
