Two of Watford’s younger players have gone out on loan to non-league sides.
Watkiss, who previously played for Stevenage before joining the Hornets in the summer of 2023, made his
Farnborough debut as a late substitute in Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Truro.
With Hemel Hempstead (5th), Boreham Wood (9th), Chesham (12th), and St Albans (23rd) all in the same level,
Farnborough is now leading a league table that is full of local clubs.
Prior to joining Watford in 2019, Browne had several loan stints at Northwood, Walthamstow, and Chertsey Town.
On Tuesday night, he made his Stortford debut as they suffered a 2-1 home loss to Royston.
Another Watford loanee, Michael Adu-Poku, has had a very successful start to his season-long stint at National
League club Solihull Moors.
He claimed an assist and was chosen as Player of the Match in Saturday’s 4-3 home win over league leaders Barnet in
what Solihull’s official club website described as “an electric debut
Adu-Poku was chosen for the Non-League paper’s Team of the Day, and he was also included in the Vanarama
National League Team of the Week.
Adu-Poku played the entire ninety minutes as Moors defeated Woking 2-1 last night, securing their third consecutive
league victory for the first time since August 23 and securing a spot in the National League’s play-off spots.
