Fear grips Everton player ahead of Ipswich clash

Asmir Begovic says Everton face a “massive” game against Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Saturday (19 October).

The Toffees are one point ahead of the Tractor Boys in the Premier League table, and they are now two points from the drop zone.

On talkSPORT (16 October), the Everton goalkeeper offered his thoughts on the game.

“Tough game, massive game, every game in the Premier League is incredibly tough and I think the level has never been higher,” Begovic told the BBC.

“We go in there, we’ve been on a good run ourselves, three unbeaten and put in some good performances, we go there with a lot of optimism and hopefully we can put in a good performance” .

Everton need to win Ipswich on Saturday

Everton have not been at their best this season. Despite consistent performances from players like Dwight McNeil, the Toffees have struggled in the Premier League.

Their poor start to the season will undoubtedly have altered their expectations for where they want to finish in the league, as well as their confidence level.

Some summer signings, like Iliman Ndiaye and Tim Iroegbunam, have made an immediate impact at Goodison Park, while others have yet to establish themselves.
