Brenden Aaronson has improved since joining Leeds United in the summer, but his recent performance for the USMNT has sparked criticism.

Aaronson’s first-half performance was criticized for being unable to handle the physicality and refereeing.

Charlie Davies, a former USA striker, shared his thoughts on the match with CBS Sports. He was particularly critical of Aaronson.
“Oh, God, Aaronson. He lost every single ball; they simply knocked him over. Hit me, and I’ll be down. I would give him a 2 because he was so terrible. I’ve never seen Brenden Aaronson play that poorly in my whole life.
“I’m talking about when he was 15 and was training with us for the Philadelphia Union.” He has competed in the Bundesliga, Champions League, Premier League, and the Championship. That was crap. Terrible.”
Aaronson never stops working, even in terrible performances.
Fans were bound to warm up to Aaronson when he returned from his loan clause leave because of his work ethic.
Even in games like today’s, he will never stop grafting, which is what fans expect when performances fall.
Sometimes you can’t avoid a poor performance, but you can still put in a tremendous shift to guarantee that side of your game never suffers, and Aaronson has that going for him without a doubt.
