“Oh my god” – National pundit has never seen Leeds United player play as poorly as he did today.

Brenden Aaronson has improved since joining Leeds United in the summer, but his recent performance for the USMNT has sparked criticism.

Leeds’ Championship campaign has so far been generally successful, with Daniel Farke hoping to get the most out of new acquisitions and fresh faces he didn’t have last season.

One of them is Brenden Aaronson, who has returned from a loan at Union Berlin and is performing well in the Leeds lineup. He hopes his performances at Elland Road will impress USMNT manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The USMNT and Aaronson’s international vacation this month consisted of two friendly matches versus Panama and arch rivals Mexico.

After defeating Panama, Aaronson faced Mexico in Guadalajara in the early hours of Wednesday morning UK time. Goal.com rated Aaronson’s performance as 3/10, with goals from Raul Jimenez and Cesar Huerta resulting in a 2-0 home win. Aaronson’s first-half performance was criticized for being unable to handle the physicality and refereeing.

“Oh my god” – CBS pundit tears into Aaronson performance

Charlie Davies, a former USA striker, shared his thoughts on the match with CBS Sports. He was particularly critical of Aaronson.

He believes it’s the worst performance the Leeds midfielder has ever had, as he stated:

“Oh, God, Aaronson. He lost every single ball; they simply knocked him over. Hit me, and I’ll be down. I would give him a 2 because he was so terrible. I’ve never seen Brenden Aaronson play that poorly in my whole life.

“I’m talking about when he was 15 and was training with us for the Philadelphia Union.” He has competed in the Bundesliga, Champions League, Premier League, and the Championship. That was crap. Terrible.”

Aaronson never stops working, even in terrible performances.

Fans were bound to warm up to Aaronson when he returned from his loan clause leave because of his work ethic.

Even in games like today’s, he will never stop grafting, which is what fans expect when performances fall.

Sometimes you can’t avoid a poor performance, but you can still put in a tremendous shift to guarantee that side of your game never suffers, and Aaronson has that going for him without a doubt.
