The attacker joined the Potters in the summer and made his first three appearances after recovering from a calf injury sustained during pre-season (all data via Fbref).

He scored his first goal for the club in a 6-1 victory over Portsmouth earlier this month, while also providing an assist.

However, he is unlikely to play when Stoke return to action this weekend owing to a hamstring issue.

Gallagher walked out in the team’s 0-0 draw with Swansea City prior to the interval, raising concerns that he had sustained another injury.

The 29-year-old will miss this weekend’s home game against the Canaries, confirming previous concerns.

Gallagher will have tests to determine the full nature of his injuries before any rehabilitation schedule is established.

A hamstring injury might keep him out for weeks or months, depending on the severity, but it’s unclear how long he’ll be gone as of this weekend.

Gallagher has been instrumental in Narcís Pelach’s early success as manager of the Championship team, therefore his departure is a disappointment.

The Spanish coach has started the striker in two of his four games as manager, having been hired in September as a replacement for Steven Schumacher.

Pelach has supervised one victory, one draw, and two defeats during his stint with the Potters, who now rank 17th in the Championship table.

Gallagher’s injury concerns are a blow to Stoke.

Gallagher has had a promising start to his Stoke career, as evidenced by his performances in his first three games.

However, supporters have been disappointed that he has only appeared in three games so far this season.

Pelach’s team has suffered another injury setback, and the manager will be praying that the problem is not too serious.

Pearson hasn’t played since March due to a hamstring injury, indicating the possible absence Gallagher may face if major damage is done.
