Gary Rowett, Rob Page, and Neil Critchley all been connected with the Tynecastle post as Hearts stay winless in the SPL.

Gary Rowett celebrates Millwall's win at Stoke.

Gary Rowett, a former Derby County player and manager, is apparently in the race to replace Steven Naismith as manager of Heart of Midlothian, a failing SPL team.

The Tynecastle club is still looking for a new manager after discussions with Norwegian coach Per-Mathias Hogmo broke down over pay demands.

According to the Sun, DerbyshireLive writer Rowett, former Aston Villa number two Neil Critchley, and ex-Wales manager Rob Page are among the top prospects for the post at the Edinburgh club.
Rowett has extensive experience in England with Derby, Millwall, and Stoke City. He was most recently in charge of Birmingham City on an interim basis, but failed to prevent them from dropping into EFL League One. He was also the Rams’ manager from 2017, leading them to the 2018 play-offs before departing to join Stoke.

Critchley, a former Blackpool manager, was Villa Park’s No. 2 under Steven Gerrard. Page, a former Port Vale and Northampton manager, has been unemployed since leaving as Wales manager earlier this year after a penalty shootout loss in a Euro 2024 play-off final.

Liam Fox, the Hearts B team manager, has taken over as caretaker manager until the club selects a new permanent manager, and he broke their eight-game losing streak with a draw at home to Ross County before the international break.
