According to reports, Rob Page and Gary Rowett are vying to succeed Steven Naismith at Hearts.

The Jambos are currently looking for a new manager after discussions with veteran Norwegian coach Per-Mathias Hogmo broke down after the two parties couldn’t agree on pay criteria. Former Blackpool manager Neil Critchley is considered a favorite for the post, although Sun Sport reports Page and Rowett are also in the running.

Page has been out of job since standing down as Wales manager earlier this year after they suffered penalty heartache in a play-off for the finals of Euro 2024.The Welshman previously guided his team to the delayed Euro 2020 finals following Ryan Giggs’ dismissal, as well as the 2022 World Cup Finals in Qatar.
Englishman Rowett, who has acquired a plethora of experience in the south with Millwall, Stoke City, and Derby, was most recently in charge of Birmingham City on an interim basis, but was unable to prevent the club from dropping into EFL League One. Liam Fox, the caretaker manager of Hearts B squad, stopped the club’s eight-game losing record by securing a point against Ross County at home before the international break.
