Tom Brady seals deal with Las Vegas Raiders.

Former NFL star Tom Brady is reportedly nearing an agreement to become a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, with insiders claiming his bid for a 10% interest in the team is “on its way to approval”.

Tom Brady is allegedly close to signing an agreement to become a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

The former NFL player is said to have made a request to purchase a 10% interest in the Sin City team, and an NFL Network source has stated that the scheme is “on its way to approval”.

According to the article, Brady’s status as a limited partner might be voted on in the coming weeks, with the contract likely to be formalised by the end of the 2024 season.

Another story from The Washington Post claims that the agreement with Brady is likely to go through since he is “good for the league”.

The insider informed the publication, “The deal isn’t done yet. I see it being done… I believe it will happen because Brady benefits the league.

“[The owners would] like to see it happen’ because of Brady’s stature.”

Talks about a Raiders agreement with Brady began last year, when the sports star retired, and he is already a part owner of the Las Vegas Aces, a basketball team owned by Raiders owner Mark Davis.

Brady’s new work as a sports commentator for FOX is thought to have hampered the deal-making process because he will have to follow tight rules when operating as a broadcaster to maintain impartiality.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport previously reported: “Sources with direct knowledge of this situation say that many of the issues, such as the valuation and Brady’s job as a FOX commentator, have been handled and worked out – and are now in a much better place…

“Brady will buy a Raiders share knowing that it will limit his ability to fulfil his job as a FOX broadcaster. Brady’s restrictions include not being permitted to enter another team’s facilities, not viewing practice, and not participating in production meetings.

“His entire production team would be in the meetings, however.”
