This week marks the start of the international break, and Sunderland’s head coach Régis Le Bris hopes to make the most of the next two weeks by reviewing the team’s impressive performance thus far.
With six wins from nine games, the Lads are presently leading the Sky Bet Championship. The previous time out, Le Bris’ team defeated Leeds United 2-2 at the Stadium of Light to gain a thrilling point.
Next weekend, they go to Hull City for a Sunday lunchtime kickoff.
“It’s still very important to assess our level, find the different areas that we need to improve on, and to consolidate the best parts of our game as well,” Le Bris stated following last Friday’s SoL match.
“That’s our new goal; we’ll have another appointment against Hull.”
Before the November international break, Sunderland will play Preston North End, Luton Town, Oxford United, Queens Park Rangers, and Coventry City after their trip to the Tigers.

Le Bris will be hopeful that his team can continue where they left off when the domestic schedule resumes after a successful start to the campaign.
“We lost at Plymouth after the last international break, and our second half wasn’t good,” the head coach went on. Thus, that experience exists in our minds. We’ll wish to engage in better gameplay.
Midfielder Alan Browne continued, “We’ve got a few things we can learn from going back to the last break,” indicating that the playing team also has this mentality.
“After that, we traveled to Plymouth and lost, so we’ll undoubtedly be thinking back on the games we’ve played in between and figuring out how we can get better. After the break, maybe we’ll get off to a better start.
