Celtic are reported to be the next team supported by prominent kit manufacturer Adidas.

Members of the company’s ‘elite’ category, including Manchester United, Arsenal, and Bayern Munich, can gain exclusive advantages. This implies a new logo design will be accessible on the front of their uniforms beginning with the 2025/26 season.

Celtic have been partnered with Adidas since 2020, and an extension is reportedly close to being agreed upon.

Celtic’s new uniforms, for the first time, will include the trefoil logo as well as heat-dry technology. The Hoops were formerly in the B Premium Tier for kits, but have won a promotion similar to Newcastle United and Roma ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The Scottish giants have previously worn big-name brands, including New Balance from 2015 until 2020. Nike was also in charge from 2005 to 2015, however Umbro had the longest connection with the team, spanning 1964 to 2005.

Commercially, this arrangement is a big coup for a Scottish club, providing more income to support Celtic in their quest for on-field success. Rangers, a bitter rival, have only won one trophy in the past 11 years.

Celtic announced the largest kit sponsorship partnership in Scottish sports history in 2020, with Adidas. The multimillion-pound partnership is anticipated to be renewed for another five years.

According to ESPN, Celtic’s shirt sales produced £29 million for adidas in 2023, ranking them among the top 20 football clubs worldwide. It remains to be known who will sponsor the front of the shirt, as Dafabet’s contract expires at the end of the 2024/25 season.
