Erik ten Hag has been warned by Manchester United that his team’s woeful form cannot continue

Erik ten Hag is convinced he will still be in charge of Manchester United when the Premier League season resumes after the international break.

Ten Hag’s future remains unclear following a United board meeting in London on Tuesday. While United confirmed the meeting was scheduled months ago, Ten Hag’s future and the team’s woeful performances were high on the agenda of club bosses, including co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Erik ten Hag has been warned he and his Manchester United players must improve

Ten Hag has taken advantage of the upcoming international games to have a much-needed break with his family. But the Dutchman will return to Manchester at the start of next week to focus on preparing for United’s clash with Brentford at Old Trafford.

But Ten Hag has been told results and performances have to improve with immediate effect. United have gone five games without a win in all competitions and have slumped to 14th place in the Premier League table.

It has been their worst ever start to a Premier League season. Ten Hag, 54, still has the support of those above him. But he knows his future could be decided once and for all during the next international break in November, if results continue to go against him between now and then.
