One of the most pressing issues for Ruben Amorim at Manchester United is deciding who to keep and who to sell during the approaching January transfer window.
The Portuguese manager has already told one player that he needs to improve, and he appears to have made a definitive choice on a struggling Red Devils partnership.

Christian Eriksen, a midfielder, was expected to leave United regardless of the new manager. However, whatever plans that Scottish giants Celtic had to take the Dane north of the border appear to have failed. Furthermore, it is stated that Celtic will not go “anywhere near” the player after learning that he earns £150,000 per week at the Red Devils (Capology). Eriksen, who has four goals and three assists in all competitions for United (transfermarkt), will shortly turn 33, which may limit the number of clubs interested in signing him.
They, too, could be turned off by the player’s salary expectations. From United’s perspective, if there is no interest in January, Eriksen’s contract expires in June, and the club may be willing to let him run it out so he can depart on free next summer.
