After hurting his team throughout the first half of Wednesday’s 3-0 loss against Leeds United, the defender was substituted out at halftime.
“He’s a really important player for us, so it’s difficult to accept,” Edwards stated during his Friday pregame press conference.
We want him to play as soon as he’s healthy and available, which should not be too long. Even if it’s annoying, he puts his all into working with his body and building resilience.
“Although we’re disappointed, it gives others a chance, and we need them to step up.”
Following Hull’s triumph, midfielder Liam Walsh will also miss the trip to Carrow Road due to hamstring pain.
Reuell Walters and Alfie Doughty will remain out of the Town’s lineup as they try to snap a five-game losing streak away from home.
“Norwich has a few outstanding people in addition to superb footballers. “But it’s not different from normal because many teams have matchwinners,” Edwards remarked.
“We had a productive discussion and discussed taking care of our game management and the fundamentals.
“We need to make better decisions when we’re not at home. There is a certain clarity at Kenilworth Road, but we must improve when we are under pressure.
“We’re currently having trouble being consistent because the league is unpredictable, but that’s what we’re looking for.”
