Giants elevate Isaiah Hodgins, Dante Miller for game vs. Seahawks

Giants Seattle Seahawks.

With Malik Nabers out due to a concussion, the Giants are elevating wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins from the practice squad. With Devin Singletary doubtful due to a groin injury, rookie running back Dante Miller is also being elevated. The elevation of Miller is a sign the Giants do not expect Singletary to play.

In a third move, the Giants have activated linebacker/special teamer Matthew Adams from injured reserve and waived outside linebacker Benton Whitley.

Hodgins starred for the Giants in the second half of the 2022 season after being claimed off waivers from the Buffalo Bills. He caught 33 passes for 351 yards (10.6 yards per catch) and four touchdowns in eight games. In the Giants’ playoff victory over the Minnesota Vikings, he has eight catches for 89 yards and a touchdown.

Hodgins’ role was reduced in 2023 as he caught only 21 passes for 230 yards (11.0 yards per catch) and a touchdown.

This season, with the addition of Malik Nabers, Hodgins did not make the 53-man roster.

MIller, nicknamed ‘Turbo’, excited fans in the preseason with his sub-4.30 40-yard dash speed. He led the Giants with 26 carries for 108 yards (4.2 yards per carry) in the preseason.

Whitley played just two defensive snaps and 42 special teams snaps in two games for the Giants.

Adams began the season on IR due to a quad injury.
