No Way, Day! Cowboys BREAKING: DT Signs with Rival
The San Francisco 49ers are undoubtedly in need of a defensive lineman because of injuries.
The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly in a position where their needs are in the same spot—not so much.
After being cut by the Chargers at the end of the previous week, Sebastian Joseph-Day is joining the Cowboys’ rival San
Francisco team. He will provide some Super Bowl experience, some run-stopping ability, and some upfield quarterback-
harassing talent to that squad.
Adding veteran depth makes sense because the Niners have struggled with injuries to D-linemen Javon Hargrave and Arik Armstead in recent weeks.
However, many who criticize the Cowboys will undoubtedly question why Dallas hasn’t been successful in making a similar
move given that rookie first-round pick Mazi Smith is currently being rushed into action and Johnathan Hankins (ankle) is still out.
This season, Joseph-Day participated in all 14 Chargers games and recorded a career-high three sacks and 11 quarterback hits.
After winning a Super Bowl with the Rams the previous season, he signed a three-year, $24 million contract with the Chargers in 2022. It appears that he was released due to cap issues.
