Predicted Hull City team to face Norwich City as Tim Walter faces selection conundrum

Predicted Hull City lineup to play Norwich City as Tim Walter has a selection dilemma.

The Tigers are in East Anglia on Saturday, hoping to head into the international break with a fourth victory.

Hull City head coach Tim Walter must decide whether to make changes to his team for Saturday’s trip to Norwich City, as the Tigers look for a fourth consecutive league victory.

The German coach made three changes to his side at QPR on Tuesday night, bringing in Xavier Simons, Liam Millar, and Kasey Palmer at the expense of Oscar Zambrano, Marvin Mehlem, and Abdus Omur. The trio dropped to the bench and came on in the second half of City’s 3-1 Loftus Road victory.

After City’s 4-1 win against Cardiff City on Saturday, Walter made changes to keep his players active and engaged in a three-game week by rotating them.

And they worked, with Simons delivering a consistent performance in the middle of the park and Millar putting on his best performance in Black and Amber and scoring his first goal, but the match against the Canaries will be a far more difficult challenge, though Zambrano’s substitution for Mehlem in the second half saw City reclaim control after losing it.

Charlie Hughes is set to return from Appendix surgery earlier than planned, while Joao Pedro may make his debut. Walter also has Abu Kamara pressing for a recall for his first trip to Carrow Road since joining the Tigers on deadline day in August.

Ryan Giles continues to struggle for minutes after being left out yet again, with Walter preferring to play with Cody Drameh on the left, which appears to be his preferred setup for the time being.

Ivor Pandur’s impressive performance at Loftus Road may have settled the goalkeeping debate for now, with Carl Rushworth and Anthony Racioppi relegated to supporting roles.
