Garry Cook reveals Birmingham City have ‘doubled’ target as Knighthead accelerate plans

Garry Cook reveals Birmingham City have ‘doubled’ target as Knighthead accelerate plans.

At the opening of the new community hub by the Birmingham City Foundation, Barry Cook was chatting to BirminghamLive.

After being demoted to League One, Garry Cook has expressed gratitude to Birmingham City supporters for their continued faith in

the cause.

In the off-season, more than 18,000 Blues season tickets were sold, and the team under Chris Davies is off to a great start this year.

Only five teams in the Championship had higher average attendances than St Andrew’s, which has the highest attendance in League

One this season at 27,013 people.

The redesigned club shop has been doing a roaring trade since it reopened, in addition to the stands being filled. The recently

introduced hospitality suites have also been favorably liked.

“It’s getting the fans to believe,” Blues CEO Cook told BirminghamLive..They are almost twice as many as we had expected in terms of

season tickets and our retail business. Having a fan base that is as driven as we are to see our club prosper is a huge blessing. It proves

to you that they have been anticipating this particular occasion.

Blues are, of course, bound to leave St Andrew’s in the future after Knighthead purchased 60 acres of property in east Birmingham to

develop a new sports quarter. Two times as many people could fit in the sports quarter’s stadium as in St. Andrew’s.

Cook continued, “We are a long way away from that.” We are not delusional; we have a lot of work ahead of us. We have to make sure

we have a clear plan, we follow our plan, we do things one step at a time, and we don’t get ahead of ourselves since we took over a little

“Everyone on the football squad has to win the game in front of them. Players must grow, tickets must be sold, and corporate

sponsorships must be sold. There is still much to be done.

“But what we do know is we’re off to a great start. Winning always helps, but we’re off to a terrific start.
