In light of the club’s most recent official communication on October 7, 2024, Reading Football Club would like to issue an update. Negotiations with a party seeking to buy the club were verified to have started in the previous announcement; nevertheless, this process is still ongoing.
Both the buying and selling sides are still determined to finish the transaction as soon as possible, even though it has turned out to be a difficult and drawn-out procedure.
Even while talks are still going on, the club is still operating on a daily basis and overcoming cash flow issues to fulfill its commitments. Up to the sale to new investors who can move the club ahead, all attention will be on running as efficiently as possible.
The club is aware of how anxious our supporters are for the ongoing sales process to be resolved. As soon as significant information becomes available, or at least once a month until the sales process is over, we promise to provide updates.
