“£20-25m”-West Brom is pushed to make significant star Fellows’ request for a transfer

The ‘Terrace Talk’ series from Football League World features the views of our FLW Fan Pundits on a variety of topics, including teams, players, managers, potential signings, breaking news, and more.

Tom Fellows, who has had an incredible start to the 2024–25 Championship campaign, may draw repeated Premier League interest in January. West Bromwich Albion has been instructed to raise the asking price significantly.

The Baggies, who had been at the top of the table after going undefeated until Saturday’s 3-2 loss at Sheffield Wednesday, set the tone in the first six games of the new campaign.

After West Brom’s 1-0 home loss to Middlesbrough on Tuesday night, their form has recently gone astray and Carlos Corberan may have to make some brave selections, but fans are still upbeat and hopeful about what the rest of the season has in store.

Fellows has been the driving force behind his team’s early-season victories this year. He first showed promise as a raw talent around the close of the previous campaign. The youthful winger has not yet scored a goal, but he has already provided five assists and developed a strong rapport with Josh Maja, the Baggies’ top scorer.

West Brom reportedly repelled interest from Southampton, Everton, and Ipswich Town, the three Premier League teams, in the latter part of the summer transfer window. As a result, there is a reasonable expectation that elite suitors will approach the team again in the new year.
A demand for Tom Fellows to move to West Brom has been made.

We asked Callum Burgess, our West Brom fan analyst, to name the player who is most likely to draw the most attention in January, where we think that interest would come from, and what a fair asking price would be.

Not surprisingly, Callum has mentioned Fellows by name and thinks the 21-year-old beauty may fetch between £20 and £25 million.

“I believe a significant amount of interest will be shown in a number of the West Bromwich Albion players,” Callum told Football League World.

“Darnell Furlong and Grady Diangana are two of our players whose contracts expire in the summer, but Tom Fellows seems like the obvious choice as a player who will be drawing interest in January given his strong start to the season.
