Everton are due to move the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock for the start of the 2025-26 season.
Everton have disclosed that they have received many offers for the naming rights of the club’s new stadium.
The Toffees will be handed the keys to the 52,888-seat stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock in just a few weeks. Construction is expected to be
completed by the end of the year, with the team moving to the state-of-the-art facility in time for the 2025-26 season.
While leaving the historic Goodison Park, the club’s home since 1892, would be difficult, relocating on the banks of the River Mersey will
significantly increase revenue. One aspect of this is the sale of the stadium’s name rights.
USM inked a £30 million naming-rights option deal at the beginning of 2020. However, the club was forced to terminate connections
with USM after owner Alisher Usmanov was sanctioned by the UK government following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2023.
Blues chief commercial and communications officer Richard Kenyon gave supporters an updated update on the hunt in Saturday’s match-
day programme, ahead of the 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Everton’s board is still working to ensure that the victorious party is the
‘appropriate fit’ because the agreement will last at least ten years.
Kenyon stated: “We have made considerable headway on stadium naming rights, with offers offered to our board of directors in recent
months. No one will understand more than our supporters the need of ensuring that the brand we choose is the best long-term match for
the club, as any arrangement will likely last at least ten years. I will continue to provide updates on this critical component of our
commercial partnership inventory as things proceed.
“Another important aspect of the club’s transformation at Everton Stadium will be our potential to increase match-day revenue, and there
will be various new and improved ways for us to do so at each home game. Beyond the possibility to enhance’spend-per-head’ through
technological innovation, the greatest rise in income will come from a huge increase in premium spaces – bars and restaurants – with
capacity at Everton Stadium more than four times that of Goodison.”
