Garrett of the Dallas Browns is battling through multiple injuries but remains determined to take the field against the Las Vegas Raiders as one of the league’s top defensive ends.
Despite multiple injuries, Myles Garrett is committed to continuing playing. As always, he is persevering despite the agony.
As the NFL’s current Defensive Player of the Year, Garrett said he will play on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders despite having injuries to his thigh, Achilles tendon, and both feet. Garrett was back at practice with the Browns on Thursday.
“I have no justifications,” he declared. “Just go have some fun outside.”
Garrett appeared to be in danger of missing the season after his struggles during last week’s loss to the New York Giants. He has difficulty walking after the game. It’s possible that he required some time off to recover.
Garrett knows that resting might be beneficial, but he is not prepared to take any breaks. “Maybe,” he responded when asked if more rest would help. “But that’s what we have a bye week for. So until then, you’re not going to get enough of 95.” Nevertheless, an MRI revealed no significant damage, and Garrett is now determined to stay on the field.
Garrett admitted that his injuries were preventing him from feeling like himself and that he had to leave the field twice to receive treatment in the medical tent.
He remarked, “I felt like I was limited.” Again, though, I won’t offer any justifications. That is the current state of affairs. Everyone is coping with their own problems, psychological or physical. Mine just so happen to be quite obvious.
Garrett admires Oakland’s No. 98 for his relentless effort.
“Max is someone I like to watch on the field. He’s 100% every time he steps on the field, so I don’t think he comes off the field. So stuff like that I admire from him. I continue to do what I do, watch him when he’s on the field, but when I go out there my mind’s on making it happen for my team and for my defense.” Garrett ended the conversation with a simple “I like Max. There’s no me versus him.”
