BBC NEWS; Gareth Ainsworth’s Hearts will be cold blooded as frontman insists he’s the man to get Tynecastle rocking

BBC NEWS; Gareth Ainsworth’s Hearts will be cold blooded, as the frontman claims he is the guy to have Tynecastle rocking.

Ainsworth believes he is the persona the Jambos need to replace Steven Naismith.

Gareth Ainsworth, the vocalist for rock band Cold Blooded Hearts, isn’t the sort to experience stage fright when presented with the challenge of changing fortunes at Tynecastle.

The applicant is confident in his ability to ignite a club and become a top contender to succeed Steven Naismith. Ainsworth, who previously led Wycombe Wanderers from League Two to the English Championship, experienced a string of losses with Queens Park Rangers.

There’s no denying the unique voice of one of the game’s mavericks as he lay out his strategy for reviving Gorgie. In an interview with Record Sport, he stated that he takes pride in being a unique frontman. As a manager, the fans understand that there is energy out there working to deliver success.

“They will know that this person is doing everything he can to get this club to where it should be. I’m confident that the fans will embrace me. I’m not the kind to spend three days in Scotland and then return home for a few days; I’d commit to Edinburgh.

“I want to sense the pulse of the city and deliver what fans demand. Too many managers come in and go out. Coldblooded Hearts? That is what is needed at Tynecastle.”

Ainsworth is an intelligent student of the game who is candid about the present commercial situation in football. He is sure that the worst excess of money and desire of southern teams has yet to be embedded in Scottish football.

He stated, “I was disappointed when I went to QPR because I felt we had lost sight of the fundamental reasons why we do this in the first place.” English football has lost much of its essence. It should be about far more than money, persons, or personal interests.

“I don’t believe Scotland has reached that level yet. If I am considered for the position, I will inform Hearts fans what I told Wycombe supporters when I first took command.

“I declined management positions at larger teams like Sunderland and Barnsley. I promised the supporters I would only leave for two clubs: Blackburn Rovers and Queens Park Rangers.

“Blackburn is my hometown, and QPR is the club where I made my name as a player.” I’d make the same vow to the Hearts faithful.

“I’m a person who commits. I am a builder who is committed to the long term.

Gareth Ainsworth lifts the League One playoff trophy.

“If my stint at QPR taught me anything, it’s that I’m not the sort of turnaround manager that comes in to produce rapid success but does not build a style of play before moving on.

“I want to construct something much more. I want to establish a brand such that other teams despise traveling to Tynecastle.”

It is now up to the Jambos board to assess how Ainsworth’s data compare to their major standards. Brighton owner Tony Bloom is negotiating a £10 million stake in Hearts.

They will consult one of his analytical firms before beginning the recruitment process to replace Naismith, who was fired earlier this month. But Ainsworth will continue to do his homework.

He stated, “I did my study on the club’s structure, and that has made me even more thrilled. Hearts is a huge club in a major city. The club has a long and strong history and heritage.

“If you can engage the next generation of fans and show them what is possible, they will have higher expectations. That’s what I did in Wycombe. The Ultras, the new generation of supporters, are die-hard. It’s brilliant.

“There are young people in Edinburgh who want to belong somewhere, and what better place to belong than Hearts?” If I get an interview, I want the club to notice my enthusiasm.

“I’ve managed in more than 650 games down south. Now I want to face that challenge at Hearts.”
