A Wolves player states, “I feel 100% fit,” in reference to his physical state.

Hugo Bueno, who was signed by Feyenoord on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers during the summer transfer window, impressed manager Brian Priske. The left-back made his Eredivisie debut last month in a 5-1 victory over PEC Zwolle. Since then, he hasn’t appeared because of an injury. Feyenoord announced on August 27 that the Wolves player will be sidelined for “several weeks.” We reported on allegations made by the Dutch media last Friday that he is still not well enough to play again.

On Feyenoord’s City Trip, where the host guides the players around Rotterdam, Bueno was the guest. He has provided an update on his level of fitness, and 1908.nl has reported his remarks. When Feyenoord plays NEC later today in the league, the 22-year-old thinks he’s ready to play.

“I try to get my body ready for anything, but things sometimes come up. I always remind myself that everything occurs for a purpose. I’m sure I’ll return strong since I’m working hard in the gym to heal,” he remarked.”We just need to maintain our good attitude, and I’ll be playing again shortly. I feel completely fit, so maybe this weekend—I’m not sure how many minutes yet—

Due to his setback, the Spaniard has watched Feyenoord’s last several games from the stands. This has helped him feel more at ease regarding his initial impression of the club. The fullback was first signed by Wolves in 2019 for their academy, then in 2022, he was promoted to the first team.

He remarked of his early days at Wolves: “It was challenging at first, but I soon felt at ease.” I had five fantastic years there. Last season, he played in just 22 Premier League games, clocking in at 732 minutes. Rayan Aït-Nouri has been Gary O’Neill’s preferred choice on the left side of the defense at Molineux. Bueno was persuaded by this to go on loan from Wolves.
