Dundee v Aberdeen: Team news, kick-off time, live stream and more as the Dons target 12 in a row

Dundee against Aberdeen: Team news, kickoff time, live stream, and more as the Dons go for 12 in a row.

Tony Docherty’s Dark Blues will have to battle hard if they are to stop Aberdeen’s incredible winning streak, with the Dens Park club the last to win a league game against the Reds.

Aberdeen could make it 12 consecutive victories in all competitions this weekend

Aberdeen hasn’t lost a Premiership match in over six months, and they’ll play at the same venue this weekend.

Previously led by Peter Leven, Jimmy Thelin now takes over. They had just come off a disastrous run under Neil Warnock in which they failed to win a single league game, and now they want to win 12 in a row.

The Swedish manager has overseen a spectacular turnaround, but Tony Docherty is no stranger to winning streaks with Aberdeen.

He was Derek McInnes’ right hand man when they won eight straight league games in 2015/16, and now he must stop the Dons’ current streak while maintaining his team’s perfect home record.

Here’s all you need to know about this weekend’s match, as Thelin and Co attempt to keep up with Celtic at the top of the league.

When is Dundee against Aberdeen?

The game will be held at Dens Park on Saturday, September 28. Kickoff is at 3 p.m.

Unfortunately, with the 3pm blackout, the only option to see the game in the UK is in person.

International viewers can subscribe to watch live on RedTV, and audio feeds will be available in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Who are the match officials?

On Tayside, Calum Scott will be the center referee, with Dougie Potter and Andy Milne serving as assistants.

Steven McLean is on VAR duty with assisting VAR Graham McNeillie.

Is there any team news?

Dante Polvara is the sole long-term absence, and Duk, who has missed every game this season, might return.

The winger had previously gone missing, but Thelin hinted at a possible comeback for the Cape Verde international, and it may happen at Dens Park.

Otherwise, it’s business as usual following the triumph over Spartans, which saw several crucial players, including as Gavin Molloy and Topi Keskinen, take a rest after storming into a comfortable lead.
