FIFA Suspended Rubiales for Three years for Forcing the Spanish Player to be Kissed.

FIFA banned former Spanish football captain Luis Rubiales for three years on

Monday, following the shock of his forced kiss on World Cup champion Jenni Hermoso’s lips.

might now face a three-year ban from any soccer-related activity.

Hermoso characterized the incident as “a hasty, macho demonstration, awkward

and without any kind of assent on my part” and claimed it left her feeling

“helpless and like the casualty of an attack”.

In September, Rubiales, who had repeatedly insisted that the kiss  done and be

consensual, gave up his position as the leader of the Spanish football league.

“The FIFA disciplinary board of trustees has prohibited Luis Rubiales,

the previous leader of the Spanish Football Affiliation (RFEF), from all

football-related exercises at public and global levels for a very long time,

” the organization with its headquarters in Zurich stated in a statement, FIFA claimed

that Rubiales was given the option on Monday and has ten days to request a

purportedly convinced option, which would be posted on FIFA’s official website whenever it was mentioned.

“The choice remaining parts subject to a potential allure before the FIFA Allure Board,”

the statement stated.

“a characteristic token of fondness and appreciation” by Hermoso in a declaration released by the RFEF.

Initially, Rubiales expressed conciliatory feelings, but later hardened his stance
