Luis Palma ditched by Celtic ally after ‘opporuntity passes him by’ as £5m transfer price set for successor

Luis Palma ditched by Celtic ally after ‘opporuntity passes him by’ as £5m transfer price set for successor.

This season, the wide player has had difficulty leaving his mark at Celtic Park.

Having troubleEmilio Izaguirre, a former Celtic great, has cautioned Luis Palma that he may be losing out on his opportunity at Parkhead.

The Honduran winger mentioned having talks with his compatriot prior to deciding to leave Aris for a fee of £3.5 million late in the summer transfer window of 2023, after Izaguirre had greatly inflated his value. The two seemed to be close, and it appears that Izaguirre is still supporting his countryman to succeed at Glasgow’s east end. However, he acknowledges that things have not gone as planned, saying that “something is missing” if he is unable to secure a regular starting position.

The 24-year-old, who has struggled to get into the starting lineup this season, made his season debut against the Bairns but was benched after 60 minutes due to lack of performance. His post-game social media antics have drawn condemnation from supporters as well. Izaguirre stated on Palma, in an interview with Deportes TVC: “It’s quite complex because I haven’t experienced it. When I first arrived, I was a starter.

There are colleagues who are more professional than you, so even if you’re a 200 percent professional, you still need to be a thousand percent professional. People are highly picky when it comes to food and sleep, so you have to learn these skills.

“There must be a gap if he isn’t a starter. They do not omit any information. Even during training, cameras are present. They don’t forgive anyone, so something must be going on because he isn’t a starter. He needs to concentrate since, hopefully, the chance won’t elude him.”

Regarding the prospect of leaving in January, he went on, “The difficult thing is that there is pressure on the player and the news

comes out that he is going to be loaned out, it is tough because mentally he can feel pressured or he can know that he has to get up to be a starter.” It’s complex.

“Because he represents us, I have to stand by him, encourage him, and be there with him.” Since there are Panamanians and Costa

Ricans, we all want to see a Honduran in the Champions League.”

It’s possible that Michel-Ange Balikwisha will replace Celtic in January, and CEO Sven Jaecques seems to have a demand for the Royal

Antwerp player. Jaecques disclosed earlier this week that an injury prevented him from leaving, and he has now informed clubs of the amount they need to pay to sign the wide player.

He stated to HLN that he was worth €6 million (£5 million) and that his contract would expire in 2026. He is eager to move himself. I

am aware that the player has the option to do so for the time being, so we’ll see what transpires. Though a lot of data is being gathered, nothing is on the table just yet.
