Their most recent success at the Stadium of Light came with a center-back pairing comprised of Black Cats stalwart Luke O’Nien and loanee debutant Chris Mepham, with the latter in particular catching the eye during an assured display. Sunderland supporters have sent a strong message to head coach Regis Le Bris regarding his defensive team selection ahead of Saturday’s Championship match against Watford.
