Nottingham Forest have set their sights on signing Burnley winger Luca Koleosho, sources have told Football Insider. Speaking on the latest edition of, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Koleosho’s future will depend on where Burnley are in the Championship.

The Clarets value the 20-year-old at the £40million mark after moving quickly to tie him down to a new five-year contract. It is also unlikely that the winger will move in the upcoming January transfer window, with summer being a more likely time for a potential transfer. Wolves had attempted to sign Koleosho on deadline day but ended up being put off by the price tag that Burnley set. However, Forest are not expected to be the only club admiring him heading into future transfer windows.

To recruit Luca Koleosho, Nottingham Forest will need to outbid rival teams.

Koleosho is expected to generate “a lot of interest,” giving Forest fierce competition to get his autograph. Since interest in Anthony Elanga started to grow in the summer, Forest has been searching for a winger, and Koleosho has emerged as a key target.

In 15 Premier League games last season, the winger managed one goal and one assist. The Italy Under-21 international has scored twice in five Championship games to open the new campaign in excellent fashion. He has been started in all but one of Burnley’s games by Scott Parker, who has made him an essential member of the team.
