Chris Sutton issues score prediction for Ipswich Town vs Aston Villa in the Premier League.

When Aston Villa visits Ipswich Town on Sunday, Unai Emery will be hoping to build on the team’s strong start to the campaign.

Aston Villa has won six of their last seven games in all competitions. Their most recent triumph, a 2-1 triumph over Wycombe

Wanderers on Tuesday, guaranteed them a spot in the Carabao Cup’s fourth round.

For Aston Villa, a trip to Portman Road this Saturday may be disastrous.

They will be thinking on their Champions League home match against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, but Ipswich, who have

inspired by their last-minute equaliser against Southampton, who they have threatened in every game.

Although Chris Sutton has been impressed with the home team, he doesn’t think they will have enough to win this week for the first

time this season.

According to Sutton’s prediction in his column for BBC Sport, Villa will win 2-1: “Ipswich is still yet to win a game this season, but they

have shown promise thus far—they have only lost to Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League.

“Kieran McKenna’s team needed a late equaliser against Southampton last week, and those kinds of outcomes will give them more

confidence.”

But I don’t think they’re going to gain anything from this. This is a challenge for Aston Villa’s team because they do concede goals and

are already struggling on all fronts.

“Ipswich will try, and I believe they will score, but once more, I believe Villa will be too strong for them.”

Unai Emery’s big decision vs Ipswich Town

Emery will start against Ipswich at full strength after the team’s midweek success with a fully rotated lineup; nonetheless, there are a

few significant selection decisions to be made.

Due to discomfort, centre back Diego Carlos withdrew from the squad on Tuesday. As a result, Kosta Nedeljkovic might start in the

Premier League for the first time under the Spaniard.

Nedeljkovic made an impression during the midweek match. The 18-year-old provided Villa with the kind of speed and enthusiasm

that is needed down the right side.

Emery may possibly play Lamare Bogarde or Sil Swinkels alongside Pau Torres in the heart of defence while keeping Ezri Konsa at

right back.

Though Bogarde playing on the right side of defence with Pau and Konsa joining him centrally is the most likely scenario, he ought to

give starting Nedeljkovic some serious thought.
